Screen Printing Workshop (The Makery, Bath)
With the help of super talented Zara Shepherd, screen print designer from Zara Emily will teach you how to create your own hand cut paper stencils. You will learn to screen print the stencils using environmentally friendly water based inks. No previous experience necessary Zara will demonstrate each stage of the process. Supporting you in designing and printing your own single colour design on to a tote bag.
At the end of the workshop you’ll leave with your own printed bag, as well as any fabric and paper samples that you might have produced. You are welcome to bring along your own cotton t-shirt to print on as well.
This workshop will be held at at the Bath Artist Studios The Old Malthouse, Comfortable Place, Upper Bristol Road, Bath BA1 3AJ, so we're free to make a mess! The closest car park is Charlotte Street - just a 7 minute walk away.
Please bring a snack with you if you think you may get peckish. We'll have tea and coffee on tap.
This is a 3.5 hour workshop, suitable for complete beginners and all materials are provided. If you'd like to bring a t-shirt of your own to print onto, please feel free.
