Make your own Pyjama Bottoms! (John Lewis, London)
This is perfect for those who have completed a ‘Learn to Sew’ workshop and would like to tackle something a bit more complicated.
We'll use a commercial pattern and make sure you leave with a pair of pyjama bottoms that you'll wear again and again. You will learn about different fabrics and how to work with them, how to read a commercial pattern, how to pattern cut, how to add markings to fabrics and how to piece your garment together. You need to know how to thread up and use the sewing machine, but don’t need to be a whiz at anything too technical.
Please bring 2.5m of fabric. Nothing too flimsy or stretchy please, light to medium weight cottons and brushed cottons would be perfect!
Please note: It’s a good idea to wash, dry and iron the fabric before the workshop in case it shrinks. The pattern goes up to 49in hips – if you need a larger size please get in touch with us before booking.
One 4 hour workshop.
