Sharing is crafty caring

Part of the joy of working in the crafty world is discovering how generous and wonderfully sharing fellow makers can be. If you’re on Twitter and Facebook you will see how often people share the love by retweeting and recommending each other. It’s so good!

On The Makery blog we love to share too, which is why you are more likely to see us talking about things we have seen and love rather than what we do. We also love showing you how to’s and loads of cool stuff through our tutes.

This week we happened across this great free embroidery download from the lovely Alyssa from Penguin and Fish which we thought you might like. Alyssa has just written a book called Sew and Stitch embroidery so it is the perfect way to whet your whistle.

Alyssa’s designs are seriously cute and perfect for adding detail to everything from washbags, pillowcases, to children’s book bags and totes. Or what about this nifty cup holder?!

If you'd like to have a go then just pop over to her site Penguin and Fish and sign up. Of course we’d love to see your handiwork on our Facebook page.

We love a show and tell.

Congrats to Amy. And well done for round two Lucy. Sorry I didn’t join in this time – too busy dealing with pemlbros are school and trying to get a child to regain their confidence.
